What Are Some of the Features of the iPad?

Wondering what you can do with the iPad? What its features are? There are many things that you can do with it. Think of it as a cross between an iPhone and a computer.

1) You can install apps like an iPhone, which means that you can play tons of games, like Angry Birds and Plants vs Zombies. My niece loves to take it on trips or even to restaurants to keep her entertained.

2) You can surf the net like both the iPhone and a computer.

3) Get and check your email.

4) Watch videos and movies. The graphics are amazing. They are actually better than some TV's I have seen.

5) If you download movies to it using iTunes, you can watch the movies on a plane or hand it to the kids to watch it in the car, while you drive.

6)The new iPad has two cameras for taking pictures and recording.

7) Read books. Many schools and universities are giving their students iPads to read their text books. The screen is large enough to make reading a pleasurable experience.

Will this replace your computer if you need it for more than surfing the net, checking emails, watching movies, reading and playing games? Not exactly. You can't download the software programs that many of us use for business. This was built originally for fun not necessarily for business. On the other hand...

Can you use this for business though? Well, you can get your email on it and surf the net for information. You can create a YouTube video though for a presentation and then use the iPad to display it. And you can have one of your company's presentations on it, depending on what format you use, to show to clients or you could simply load up your company website and hand it to a potential client. Hmm, could this be why companies are giving them to their sales staff and execs?

So should you get one? Well, I can tell you one thing. Everyone that I know who has one has only one answer when I ask if they are going for the upgrade - Yes, yes yes. They love them, their kids can not imagine living without them, and even the school system is getting on board. Not bad for what was once considered a high priced toy. Now it seems to be a necessity of life.
