Free Update iPod Touch

So I was surprised to learn, the $ 20 iPod touch update. I mean, this is not the worst idea ever? I paid for my iPod Touch, like everyone else, why should I pay for it until now.

The worst part about this is that anyone buying a new iPod touch is available immediately receive the new test questions that basically what the upgrade for themselves. These new applications are: Maps, Mail, Stocks, Notes and Weather.

The good news is that if you have what they call ajailbroken iPod, you can get these applications for free! Yay!

Just like you did? First you need to put the firmware 1.1.1. If you are in 1.2.1, you have to downgrade. To find out if you have the correct firmware in "Settings" and click on "about", then you will see wat firmware. Here are the simple steps to do this:

1 Download the firmware 1.1.1

2 Once downloaded, you put your iTouch into recovery mode (see below)

3 HoldShift and click Restore (go into itunes)

4 Double-click the downloaded file to 1.1.1

Wait 5, when it is ready to work, you should have the right Firware.

7 Now you can jailbreak and install applications for iPhone (my instructions)

For the recovery mode

1 Have your iTouch to the computer and

2 Hold down the home button sleep

3 When you see the apple let go of sleep button

4 Then you see your iPod touch will ask you to hookup to your computer.

Once you are in the correct firmware and validate. You'd jailbreakme.com, download and install AppSnap. Let AppSnap work and then go to installer and install the following applications: openssh, bsd system, launcher.

You will be able to install the applications you want on your jailbroken iPod.
